The Turtle and Hare Story

Like many of us, husband and wife motorbike-fanatics John and Kate had long dreamt about living, working and riding in the South of France.

Unlike many of us, they set about actually making their dream a reality: Turtle and Hare Moto Holidays was born.

As a life-long biker with a true passion for motorcycling, John has owned a surprising variety of motorcycles, has an impressive knowledge of the inner workings of a motorcycle, gained some modest success as a club racer and has ridden thousands of miles both in the UK and in Europe - and is still only in his 40's!

Coupled with Kate's love of travelling, this intense relationship with motorcycling meant that your hosts have taken many motorcycle tours across Europe. At first it was just the two of them who took the leap of faith, but gradually as friends and family caught the touring bug John and Kate naturally became chief organisers  of some fairly complex motorcycle tours to a range of destinations across Europe. 

Having learnt from the range of experiences, challenges and rewards which motorcycle touring brings, John and Kate decided to move from their home in Devon, England to establish Turtle and Hare Moto Holidays which offers a range of guide-led, accompanied and unaccompanied tours around the mountain roads of the South of France and Northern Spain.

John and Kate now reside and work in the village of Vidouze which is situated in a beautiful area of the Midi-Pyrenees with some amazing riding on the doorstep. They live at Le Monueu with their dog Nutmeg and their two cats Charlie and Hoppers - all five of whom extend you a warm welcome and look forward to meeting you in their little corner of France.
